More About "From a Distance":  A heartwarming and nostalgic look at the wartime letters of our servicemen and women and their families, accompanied by the music of the era. The program explores the heartfelt feelings and emotions of military service, using these very personal letters, highlighted by a backdrop of meaningful music and pictures,. It is a testament to the humanity and dedication of our military veterans, whose service and sacrifice must not be forgotten.

"Words of Warriors" was developed in collaboration with NY Times best-selling Author Andrew Carroll (‘War Letters”, “Behind the Lines”), Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum in Pittsburgh PA, and donations from Veteran's personal unpublished collections.

The principal artist and creator of the concept is Pianist and Vocalist Donna Groom. This concert is designed to be performed with a Pops Orchestra, but is also available in formats starting with an eight piece band.
